Reaheral Director
Marija was born in Slovenia and began dancing at the age of 17. In 2006-2008 she was a part of D.A.N.C.E. (European interdisciplinary professional program) under the artistic direction of Frédéric Flamand, William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, and Angelin Preljocaj.
Later she joined the Batsheva Ensemble, where she danced in Naharin’s and Sharon Eyal’s creations. After that she joined Vertigo Dance Company where she worked with Noa Wertheim, Sharon Fridman, and Anna Halprin. More recently she was a member of Tanzmainz where she got a chance to work with a variety of choreographers including Roy Assaf, Guy Nader and Maria Campos, Roni Haver and Guy Weizman, Victor Quijada and Sharon Eyal.
Throughout her career as a dancer she was teaching workshops and master classes in different institutions, including Conservatori Superior de Dansa Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and The Juilliard School in New York. Marija has been teaching Gaga since 2011 and holds a certificate in Plant-Based nutrition from eCornell.
Starting in 2023, Marija has started working as a rehearsal manager in
The Maslool – School Of Contemporary Dance – Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
