+ International solo workshops +

The international solo workshop is the flagship project of the Maslool and the highlight of the school year.

The program offers a unique educational model in Israel, in which dancers of the Maslool, along with students of leading dance academies around the world, study and perform solo works from the existing repertoire of Israeli and international choreographers or works created especially for the dancers. Additionally, several soloists are selected from the annual composition course directed by Yael Venezia.

After months of independent and guided work on the selected solo, the Maslool holds five days of concentrated workshops during which the dancers each perform the solos in one-on-one guidance sessions with three leading mentors from the field including:

Choreographers.
Rehearsal directors.
Dancers.
Directors.
Actors.
Dramaturgs, etc.

Each year, 150 master classes are held as part of this framework with the participation of dozens of guest mentors. The workshops close with a performance of the solos.

+ A rare opportunity and an intimate experience +

The solo workshops are a rare opportunity for students to experience intimate work with first-class creators and professionals in their field, to perfect their abilities and dive into the depth of the meaning of a dancer-soloist.

As a result of a fruitful dialogue created within the workshops over the years, graduates of the Maslool have been integrated into projects and dance companies in Israel and around the world. The master classes are open to the general public, including dance students and students from the arts.

*The project is supported by the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
